About Us.

The Punnet health store was founded in april 2013, between two good friends, Darragh Buckley and James Norton. 

Both men coem from a long sporting background, James played professional Rugby for Leinster and Connought for 8 years

and holds a James Norton Diploma in Sports Science, and Strength and Conditioning. (Which he barely mentions to people if they ask :-)

Darragh Buckley holds a degree in Financial Management & Marketing, and has a string background in PR, marketing and sales.

He is a keen Birkram Yoga enthuasist, after his short lived aspirations in kickboxing and soccer were halted with injuries. ;-(.

Both  men pride themselves on their culinary skills, and dietry discipline (amoungst other things!) so when James approached Darragh about expaning his fruit and veg business into the health food retail market, Darragh was extremely excited about the opportunity.

The idea was sporn in January 2013, and after considerable market research, location analysis, and numerous discussions/haggles with wholesalers the found a great location in sandycove, grabed the lease and set to work refurbishing an old buther shop into a modern health food store. In April 2013 the Punnet Health Food store open it's doors.
